We’ve made an example fundraising template for you to follow. Check it out:

I pray that you are doing well. (Mention how you know the person, group, or church and add any personal discourse here).

I want to let you know that I will be participating in a short-term trip to (The place you will visit) with (Name of the sending or host organization) from approximately (Start Date) to (End Date). The purpose of our trip is (Fill in the purpose) through activities such as (Fill in any appropriate activities). Personally, I desire to grow spiritually and to see God at work among (Name the people group or nation to be served). I hope to be a blessing while we are there. To do this, I am currently raising (Tell the amount of money needed) by (Tell the date it is due). I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider supporting me with (Ask a specific amount).

I will contact (Note: it is best to call if you have opportunity–if you will call, state it as “I will call) you by (The date 7-10 days after you will send out this message) so we can discuss this more. However, if the Lord leads you to respond prior to my call, you can contact me at (State means of response such as address, email address, text message, phone, or message application). Once I know your intentions, I will walk you through the process of contributing to my efforts.
